The VINCI Construction development team Synaps'Up specialises in building tools that make the work of their engineering teams easier and more efficient. In search of a new deployment solution, they stumbled upon VIKTOR. Now, they are using the VIKTOR platform to automate the calculation of over 200 crane foundation designs every year. Alexandre Cousin, Head of Generative Design at VINCI Construction in France: “Our goal is to calculate crane foundation designs in 15 minutes, whereas this would normally take anywhere from 3 up to 5 days.”

Global design, engineering, and management consulting firm Arcadis is increasingly transitioning into a more digital company, adopting and developing all kinds of new technologies to optimize its engineering processes. For example, in the field of structural engineering where many still experience a significant lack of suitable tools for automation. Urban Machine's woodshop intern skillfully designed and built a Murphy-bed-like desk in Kelly's house, benefiting one of ABC's previously unhoused program participants.

ABC, which began with 20 unemployed artists in Oakland during the pandemic, redirected its focus to constructing emergency housing for the homeless. Amidst business closures and evictions, they aimed to create security in 12 tiny houses.

By Spring 2022, ABC achieved this goal and has since expanded, embarking on Tiny Home 15 in February 2023. Now with a team of 200 volunteers – artists, carpenters, activists, and advocates – ABC's mission endures.
