PinMy Overview
Tool Overview
PinMy is a mobile-first visual collaboration platform built specifically to address the pervasive communication failures in the Architecture, Engineering, Design and Construction (AEC) sectors. It serves as a unified digital hub that moves teams away from disorganized, high-risk communication channels like paper plans and personal messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp). Poor communication is a critical issue in construction, causing project rework, significant cost overruns, and unnecessary delays. PinMy directly combats these problems by enhancing accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of information.
Core Functionality and Features:
-
Precise Visual Annotation: Users can upload project files (plans, images, PDFs, or videos) and place interactive "Pins" directly onto the exact location requiring attention.
-
Multi-Format Feedback: Feedback can be provided using text, photos, drawing tools (sketching on files), or Voice Notes with Automatic Transcription. This feature is vital for field teams who need to provide clear, multi-language updates quickly without typing.
-
Centralized, Secure Storage: All project media, communication history, and resolved issues are securely stored in one place, ensuring everyone works from the latest, most accurate data. This eliminates the guesswork and risk associated with outdated screenshots or lost notes.
-
Real-Time Collaboration: The platform facilitates immediate sharing of annotated files and instant push notifications, enabling fast decision-making and preventing critical information delays.
-
Universal Access & Simplicity: PinMy is accessible via mobile (iOS, Android) and web browser, and its simple interface ensures quick adoption by site crews and non-technical stakeholders—often requiring no training. It supports formats including JPEG, PNG, PDF, GIF, SVG, AI, mp4, and MOV.
-
Guest Access: Easily share pins or entire projects with external contractors or clients via a link, even if they do not have an account.
Value Proposition:
PinMy is a powerful solution for Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Architects. By streamlining workflows and improving communication clarity, it has been shown to reduce construction mistakes by up to 35% and save 6-8 hours per person per week in wasted time searching for information. Its freemium SAAS model (with a Free Forever plan and Premium tier starting at €10.99/month per user) offers an accessible entry point for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to begin their journey towards digital traceability and full BIM integration.

About the Company
PinMy builds the mobile capture layer for construction field work.
The company started from a specific observation: the construction industry has invested heavily in tools for the office and almost nothing usable for the people standing on site. Design authoring, coordination, scheduling and cost control are all well served by mature desktop platforms. But the moment a person walks onto a floor slab and sees something that is wrong, the technology available to them is a camera, a chat app and, often, a printed plan with a pen. Everything that happens next is re-entry: photographs typed up into reports, voice messages transcribed into emails, sketches redrawn into models. The record that survives is unstructured, hard to search and difficult to defend when a dispute begins.
PinMy exists to close that gap at the point of capture rather than after it. The company's product lets a site worker open a plan, a photograph, a walkthrough video or a 3D IFC model on the phone already in their pocket, tap the exact location of an issue, and leave a voice note, photo, video or text anchored to that point. The result is a dated, located, attributed record created in the moment, by the person who saw the thing, without a second entry step.
Two convictions shape how the company builds.
The first is that adoption is the hard problem, not capability. Field teams have very low tolerance for training and very high tolerance for WhatsApp, and any tool that ignores this is bought by head office and abandoned on site within a month. PinMy is therefore designed around a single gesture — tap a point, speak — that works with gloves on, in noise and in poor light, and that a new user can perform correctly within minutes of installing the app. Every feature decision is measured against whether it survives contact with a real site.
The second is that the industry does not need another walled garden. PinMy is built on open standards rather than proprietary lock-in: IFC for models, BCF 2.1 for issue exchange, PDF for reporting. The company's position is explicitly complementary to the established platforms. For a small contractor with no structured tooling at all, PinMy is a first digital step that costs less than a day of rework. For a firm already running a BIM stack or a CDE, it is the mobile extension that stack has always lacked. PinMy does not attempt to replace Procore, Autodesk or Revit, and says so plainly.
The timing is both regulatory and technical. BIM is already mandatory for Spanish public tenders above €2M, with a roadmap extending toward the private sector through 2028–2030, which pushes thousands of small firms to find a first digital step they can actually afford. In parallel, the value of construction AI is limited by the fact that most site data is never captured in structured form at all. The authoring layer, not the analytics layer, is where that constraint is resolved.
PinMy OÜ is registered in Tallinn, Estonia and operates from Málaga, Spain, serving customers across Spain, Italy, Poland, Latin America and North America. The product is live on iOS, iPadOS, Android, the web and as a Chrome extension, in 8+ languages, on a freemium model designed so that an individual inspector can adopt it without a purchase order.
The company is built by the founders of MaboaSoft, an independent mobile product studio. Product and engineering sit under one roof, which keeps iteration fast and the cost base honest — an unusual structure for an early-stage vendor, and the main reason a team of this size ships at this rate.
Beyond field capture, PinMy is extending into local digital twin and smart infrastructure work, where the same pin-to-a-point model applies to assets rather than defects. Data is EU-hosted, GDPR-aligned and encrypted in transit and at rest; customer content is never used for AI training and never sold.
