Trayd is a payroll, HR, and compliance platform purpose-built for specialty trade and union contractors. It replaces manual attendance and payroll processes with a mobile app that lets field workers clock in and view shifts and wages in real time, while back-office teams run certified payroll and prevailing-wage calculations in minutes instead of days. The platform handles union wage-card compliance, HR functions such as onboarding, benefits, and time-off tracking, crew scheduling and dispatch tied directly to payroll, and basic accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and job costing. Trayd is aimed at trade contractors who must navigate certified payroll reporting and prevailing-wage rules on public and union jobs, removing the administrative burden that traditionally falls on office staff. The company, backed by Y Combinator, Suffolk Technologies, Bloomberg Beta, White Star Capital, and RXR Realty, has raised a total of $17M as of its March 2026 Series A round.
