Termite Intelligence Overview
Termite has been designed and developed since 2020, with over 6000 downloads, beginning with the Termite Nest plugin in Grasshopper, and has become an intelligent design assistant dashboard in 2025, based on community feedback, to facilitate the design process.
Termite Dashboard has sessions related to specific steps of the design process. The current session works on plan generation via an interactive interface. It is possible to generate any building design type with the Termite engine based on your custom physical program. The physical program templates can be reused and edited in other projects and sessions.
Features supported in the plan generation session are as follows:
Sync and generate: Within a session, you can sync termite with your CAD software to set boundaries, preferred locations, and fixed geometries to avoid — then explore layout variations powered by Termite AI.
Easy draft: Choose a layout, add and trim walls, place doors and windows, and refine space quality according to your architectural vision — effortlessly with just a few clicks.
Layered Export: Generate plans containing windows, doors, walls, and space boundaries as organized layers, and seamlessly import them into your CAD software to align with your synced locations. (BIM model for Revit is coming soon).
Live update: Adjust the building outline or individual space geometry directly in your CAD software and instantly visualize the impact on layout generation in real time.
BIM sync: Sync the Termite dashboard with Revit, generate layouts, and export a fully parametric 3D BIM model using native Revit objects.
Layout API and Grasshopper: Build your custom workflow and seamlessly integrate Termite’s layout generation AI through the API. We will support you with consultancy and dedicated service development to customize an AI integration in your design workflow.
Planning design code Verify (coming soon): Upload local municipality design code documents, and the Termite design assistant will parse and cross-verify the regulations with your generated plan geometry for compliance checking.
Eco Layer (coming soon): Apply default or custom materials to walls, windows, ceilings, roofing, and HVAC systems. Termite design assistant intelligently assigns information layers to your geometry and automates the energy calculation process
