Strucsoft Metal is a professional-grade light gauge steel (LGS) framing plugin for Autodesk Revit®, by GRAITEC. Built for architects, engineers, contractors, and offsite manufacturers who need to design, document, and fabricate cold-formed steel framing accurately and efficiently, without leaving their Revit environment.
Using a rule-based template system, Strucsoft Metal automates the creation of fully detailed LGS wall panels, floor systems, and ceilings across an entire project in a fraction of the time required by manual methods. The software automatically detects openings, MEP penetrations, and structural intersections, applying the correct framing conditions around each, resolving coordination issues at the modeling stage before they become costly field problems.
For modular and prefab construction teams, Strucsoft Metal includes a dedicated Modular interface. Users define framing templates once via the Template Map, and Quick Create applies them automatically across all repeating Revit groups, including pods, modules, or full prefabricated systems. The Modular Gather Sheets command automates shop drawing generation for the entire project in one operation, producing a complete, model-linked set of drawings for walls, floors, ceilings, and roof panels that update when the design changes.
Before any documentation leaves the model, the Panel Checker tool automatically validates panels for modeling errors, flagging issues with member quantities, connections, stud orientation, and hole coordinates, catching problems before they reach the shop floor.
When the model is complete, Strucsoft Metal exports fabrication-ready data directly to leading CNC roll-forming machines from Howick, Framecad, Scottsdale Systems, Beck Automation, Studmeister, Pinnacle, FrameMac, Arkitech, and others. Pre-loaded component libraries from ClarkDietrich, CEMCO, iSPAN, Marino\WARE, and SCAFCO allow teams to frame with specification-accurate members from day one. Both imperial and metric measurements are supported.
Suitable for projects ranging from bathroom pods to large-scale commercial and healthcare buildings, Strucsoft Metal is the tool of choice for teams that need their BIM model to connect directly, and reliably, to the shop floor.
