ArchiMind
ArchiMind is a native Autodesk Revit add-in that runs California Building Code (CBC 2025 & 2022) compliance checks directly inside Revit, no export step required. It includes a Live mode that continuously monitors your model and flags compliance issues in real time as you design. Covers occupancy loads, egress, stairs, ramps, restrooms, plumbing, fire resistance, light & ventilation, Chapter 11B accessibility, EVCS, DSA path of travel, and exit signs, with a dock able panel, color-coded overlays, HTML reports, and cloud dashboard sync.

ArchiMind — CBC Compliance Inside Revit
ArchiMind is a native Autodesk Revit plugin purpose-built for California building code compliance. Unlike web-based or export-dependent tools, ArchiMind runs its full analysis engine directly inside Revit - reading rooms, doors, walls, levels, and project parameters from the live model with no file exports, no round-trips, and no manual data entry.
What ArchiMind Checks
ArchiMind covers 12 compliance domains under CBC 2025 and CBC 2022:
- Occupancy Load : Calculates occupant loads per CBC Table 1004.5 for all occupancy groups (A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R, S, U) including fixed seating and DSA IR 10-2 factors.
- Egress (Chapter 10) : Travel distance, common path, corridor width, exit count, door swing, occupant load thresholds.
- Stairs & Ramps : Riser/tread dimensions, handrail requirements, ramp slope, landing dimensions per CBC §1009–§1012.
- Fire Resistance (Chapter 7) : Construction type validation, fire-resistance ratings for walls, floors, and shafts per Types I-A through V-B.
- Height & Area (Chapter 5) : Allowable area calculations, height limits, sprinkler increase factors.
- Light & Ventilation (Chapter 12) : Natural light and ventilation ratios, mechanical ventilation compliance.
- Chapter 11B Accessibility : Path of travel, accessible route width, parking stall dimensions, restroom accessibility, reach ranges, ramp compliance.
- Restroom Fixtures (Chapter 29 + CPC 2025) : Water closets, lavatories, urinals, and drinking fountains required vs. provided per occupancy and occupant load.
- Plumbing Fixture Count : CPC 2025 Table 422.1 fixture ratios by building type and gender.
- EVCS Parking : Electric vehicle charging stall counts, accessible EVCS stalls, signage per CBC §11B-812.
- Exit Signs (CBC §1013) : Exit sign placement and spacing analysis based on egress paths.
- DSA / Path of Travel (IR 10-2, IR 11B-10) : Triggers DSA path-of-travel upgrade requirements for K-12 and state-funded projects.
How It Works
After installation, ArchiMind adds a dedicated ribbon tab in Revit. The user opens a floor plan, clicks "CBC Analysis," selects the CBC edition, construction type, occupancy assignments, and sprinkler status - then runs the analysis. Results appear instantly in a dockable side panel with pass/warning/fail indicators for every room and check. A color-coded floor plan overlay highlights non-compliant rooms. A permit-ready HTML report is generated locally and optionally synced to the ArchiMind cloud dashboard for project tracking.
Who It's For
ArchiMind is designed for California-licensed architects, project architects, BIM managers, code consultants, and DSA-submitting firms. It eliminates the manual code lookup and spreadsheet tracking that consumes hours on every project submittal.
Live Compliance Monitoring
ArchiMind includes a Live mode that runs in the background as you work in Revit. Instead of waiting until the end of design to run a full analysis, Live mode continuously monitors the model and surfaces compliance warnings in real time - catching egress violations, occupancy threshold breaches, or door width issues the moment they appear. This dramatically reduces late-stage redesign and shortens the permit submittal cycle.
Platform & Compatibility
ArchiMind runs on Windows, supports Autodesk Revit 2024 and 2025, and requires an active Enterprise license for dashboard sync and team features. A free trial is available at archimindcbc.com.

SWAPP AI is an architecture documentation software that helps design teams automate repetitive BIM and drawing production tasks. Built for firms working in Revit-centered workflows, SWAPP AI is designed to improve consistency, reduce manual drafting time, and speed up documentation across design development and construction documentation phases. Teams evaluating SWAPP AI pricing, features, and integrations often consider it for high-volume production workflows where automation can reduce rework and improve delivery speed.
Kestrel Labs
Kestrel is building code compliance software that runs inside Revit, checking BIM models against jurisdiction-specific requirements during design. It flags issues directly on model elements and ties every result to a cited code section. Teams run compliance checks continuously, not just at plan check, so problems surface while they are still easy to fix. Kestrel brings building code into the model, giving teams a clear, real-time understanding of where their project stands.
