Enjin

Enjin is computational design for every practice, anywhere. Sketch, describe or mark up an idea in the browser, and Enjin builds the 3D model. Refine it, compare directions and carry it through to delivery. Start from a sentence, a sketch, a PDF drawing set or your own Rhino or SketchUp site. There is nothing to install, and it runs on any device.

Enjin Overview

More room to think.
In early design, a lot of time goes into rebuilding the same model by hand at every change and every handoff. Enjin takes that work. Sketch, describe or mark up an idea, and Enjin builds the 3D model, keeps every version, and gives you a Rhino file in millimetres. Your own site model stays untouched, and there is nothing to install.

Who it is for
Architects and designers doing early design, massing and feasibility studies, in practices of any size, with no scripting team of their own.

What works today

  • Start from text, a sketch, or a PDF drawing set of up to 60 sheets. Enjin reads the dimensions, levels and labels printed on the sheets.
  • Link your own Rhino or SketchUp model of the site, up to 256 MB. Enjin designs around it and never changes it. Click a roof or wall in it to point your next request at that part.
  • Change the model by asking, by marking it up, or by editing its parameters. Each change becomes a new version, and the current one stays in place until the new one is ready.
  • Start another direction from any saved version. Each variation keeps its own versions and chats, and you can compare two side by side.
  • Create images of the model in a style set from your own references.
  • Download the model as a Rhino file in millimetres, on its own or with your linked models.
  • Work away from your desk. Enjin runs in the browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Send a photo of a sketch, ask for a change, or turn the 3D model in your hand from a site visit or a train.

Where it is going
One model from idea to handoff. SketchUp and Revit export are next, so the same model carries through to delivery alongside the software your practice already uses.

Enjin is in alpha with practitioners across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Start free at enjin.senibina.com.sg.
