SlabCalc Overview

SlabCalc is a free, no-signup suite of concrete tools built for contractors, estimators, and builders. At its core are 34 specialized calculators covering slabs, driveways, patios, footings, foundations, walls, CMU block, columns, curbs, stairs, sonotubes, rebar, gravel, and more — each returning volume in cubic yards and cubic meters, pre-mix bag counts, total weight, and a cost estimate, with an adjustable waste factor and an imperial/metric toggle.

Beyond estimating, SlabCalc adds two AI-powered tools built on Claude vision: a Concrete Crack Analyzer that diagnoses damage from a single photo — classifying it against six failure modes, scoring severity 1–5, and recommending DIY repair, a contractor, or a structural engineer — and a Quote Analyzer that breaks down a contractor's bid into labor, materials, and site prep, flagging anything that looks off.

Our cost figures are built from US state DOT paving bid records reprojected onto residential job sizes via the BLS producer price index — a transparent, disclosed methodology rather than a black box. Rounding out the platform: cost-by-city pricing pages, expert guides, a concrete glossary, a Chrome extension, and embeddable widgets. Free, no signup, runs entirely in the browser.

Melt Takeoff

Melt Takeoff by MeltPlan is an AI-assisted takeoff service for construction estimators that combines AI speed with expert estimator verification. It delivers accurate quantities plus detailed allowances for scope not shown on drawings, with interactive outputs and clean Excel exports—helping contractors bid faster with confidence.

MeltPlan

MeltPlan is the AI-native planning engine for the built environment, bringing code compliance, cost, schedule, and value engineering into one connected system. It helps architects, engineers, and contractors make faster, more confident decisions before construction begins — with transparent reasoning, verifiable sources, and workflows built for real project execution.

ContractorCounter

ContractorCounter is browser-based construction drawing markup and takeoff software built for contractors, subcontractors and estimators. Upload PDF or image plans, calibrate scale, measure lengths and areas, count symbols and fixtures, and add clear markups without desktop software. Teams can collaborate in one workspace, export clean annotated PDFs, and carry measured quantities into a Bill of Quantities and quote. It is a practical Bluebeam alternative for fast, affordable preconstruction and field workflows.
