Project Discovery Overview
Project Discovery is Archlior's curated gallery of architectural lighting case studies — real, completed projects documented so you can see exactly which lighting products were used to create them.
Most lighting inspiration is a dead end. You find a photograph of a space with the atmosphere you want, and then the trail goes cold: no fixture names, no manufacturer, no way to act on what you are looking at. Project Discovery is built to close that gap. Every project links the luminaires used in the real installation directly through to the manufacturer's website, so you can go from a photograph you like to a specifiable product in a single step.
That changes what a precedent image is worth. Instead of "something like this," you can tell a client, a colleague or a supplier exactly what produced the effect — which fitting, from which manufacturer, in which real project. The reference stops being a mood board item and becomes the beginning of a specification.
The gallery covers every kind of space. Homes and apartments, hotels and hospitality, workplaces and offices, museums and galleries, retail interiors, restaurants and bars, healthcare, education, civic and cultural buildings, industrial and back-of-house environments, and exterior and facade schemes are all represented. Browsing across space types is useful in itself, because a technique developed for a gallery wall often solves a problem in a hotel lobby.
Designers use Project Discovery in three main ways. As a benchmarking tool, to see how comparable spaces have been lit before committing to an approach. As a sourcing and specification aid, to work backwards from an effect to the exact product and manufacturer that delivered it. And as a communication device, to give a client a concrete reference point instead of an abstract description of atmosphere.
Project Discovery is free to browse, needs no software, plugins or account setup, and works in any browser. It is aimed at interior designers, architects and lighting designers building a precedent library, specifiers and procurement teams researching fixture selection, and manufacturers who want their products seen in the projects they actually shaped.

About the Company
Archlior is a AI lighting platform created to help people design, visualize, and select the right lighting for any built environment. The platform connects creative interior design concepts with technical lighting requirements. It serves a wide audience, including architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, contractors, students, and homeowners. By bringing together visual tools, technical search options, real-world examples, and educational content, the platform simplifies a process that is traditionally complex and technical.
Instant AI Visualizations A central feature of the platform is its artificial intelligence studio, which allows users to see how light transforms a room without using complicated software. Traditional lighting design often requires expensive visual tools or complex 3D rendering programs that take hours or days to set up. With this platform, users simply upload a photo of a physical space. The software analyzes the image and generates realistic lighting setups in seconds. Users can instantly experiment with different fixture styles and light qualities, testing warm light, cozy golden tones, or cool daylight. This quick visualization process helps designers show ideas to clients, test different arrangements, and decide on the look and feel of a room before buying any physical lights.
Comprehensive Product Discovery The platform includes a large catalog of professional-grade lighting products collected from quality manufacturers around the world. Users can search through thousands of light fixtures based on specific technical requirements rather than just visual appearance. To help users find the exact light needed for a project, the search system includes practical filters such as:
-
Fixture Types: Recessed ceiling lights, linear lights, decorative pendants, wall-mounted fixtures, track systems, and outdoor architectural lights.
-
Technical Details: Color temperature, beam sharpness, light distribution, energy consumption, and weather resistance ratings for wet or outdoor locations.
Real-World Project Gallery To offer real-world inspiration, the platform maintains a showcase of completed lighting projects from across the globe. This visual gallery includes case studies from various industries, such as luxury hotels, restaurants, retail shops, corporate offices, public art spaces, and residential homes. By viewing these completed spaces, designers can see how professional lighting principles work in practice. Users can observe how proper fixture placement highlights architectural textures, guides movement through a space, sets a specific mood, and ensures visual comfort for occupants.
Technical Calculators and Industry Standards Beyond inspiration, the platform provides practical online calculators designed to handle everyday lighting layout math. These tools help users estimate energy savings when switching to modern systems, calculate overall brightness levels needed for specific rooms, and map out balanced grid patterns for ceiling lights. Additionally, the platform provides references to international lighting guidelines and environmental design standards, helping users ensure their projects meet official safety and performance requirements.
Educational Guides and Resources To support continuous learning, the platform features accessible guides, downloadable books, and articles about lighting principles. These educational resources cover fundamental topics like combining ambient, task, and accent lighting, avoiding common layout mistakes, and choosing the right brightness. They also explore how light affects human health, explaining how matching indoor lighting to natural light patterns can improve sleep, boost energy levels, and enhance general well-being throughout the day.

FAQ
It is Archlior's curated gallery of architectural lighting case studies. Each project shows the relationship between design concept, fixture selection and the finished space, so you can study how a lighting effect was actually achieved rather than guessing from a photograph.
Every kind. Homes and apartments, hotels and hospitality, workplaces and offices, museums and galleries, retail, restaurants and bars, healthcare, education, civic and cultural buildings, industrial spaces, and exterior and facade schemes are all represented — so there is usually a comparable project whatever you are lighting.
Yes. The gallery is free to browse in any web browser, with no software to install and no account setup required.
Yes — that is the point of it. Each project identifies the luminaires used in the real installation and links straight through to the manufacturer's website, so you can go from an image you like to a specifiable product without guesswork.
