Mix Chapter gives concrete contractors, estimators and chapter members a free concrete takeoff from their own plans. Send your plan set and get concrete by element, rebar, block and grout counts back, each shown on your drawing, plus a material cost estimate. Free, no account. It also offers free ACI practice exams in English and Spanish, and chapter software is coming soon.

Mix Chapter Overview

Mix Chapter gives concrete contractors, estimators and chapter members a free concrete takeoff from their own plans. Send the full plan set as a vector PDF, DWG or DXF, add your work email and click the start link. The takeoff starts only after that click, so nothing runs on a typo.

What comes back is a private link and a quantities CSV. The link shows concrete by element, rebar, and block and grout counts, each one shown on your own drawing with the math behind it. Tap a row to see the crop of the sheet it came from, or press Play 3D to watch the job build up piece by piece. The scale is checked against the drawing's own dimensions, and open questions go to the engineer before anyone books a truck. A material cost estimate from typical local prices is included. It is an estimate, not a bid: verify before ordering. Most takeoffs are ready within a few hours.

Mix Chapter also offers free ACI practice exams in English and Spanish: Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing, Flatwork Finisher, Aggregate Testing and Special Inspector, with instant scoring, ASTM-referenced explanations, unlimited retakes and no sign-up.

Chapter software is coming soon: member, event, certification and compliance tools for ACI, ICRI, PCI, PCA and ASCC chapters, including digital wallet cards. Pricing will be announced at launch, and the waitlist is open.

Mix Chapter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Concrete Institute (ACI).

Concrete Mix AI

Concrete Mix AI turns a plan set into quantities: concrete by element, rebar, block and grout counts, each traced to the drawing, plus the questions for your engineer. Free concrete takeoff from your PDF or DWG, no account. It also has 12 free concrete calculators, including mix design based on ACI 211 principles, compressive strength, water-cement ratio, volume, rebar and curing time, plus free ACI practice exams.

TakeoffMetric

TakeoffMetric is a free set of construction calculators and estimating tools for people who have to order something: contractors, estimators and owners about to pay for a delivery of concrete, gravel or lumber. The main result of every calculator is a quantity you can order, rounded the way suppliers sell it: cubic yards with a waste allowance, bag counts and truck loads, not a decimal with four places.

ContractorCounter

ContractorCounter is browser-based construction drawing markup and takeoff software built for contractors, subcontractors and estimators. Upload PDF or image plans, calibrate scale, measure lengths and areas, count symbols and fixtures, and add clear markups without desktop software. Teams can collaborate in one workspace, export clean annotated PDFs, and carry measured quantities into a Bill of Quantities and quote. It is a practical Bluebeam alternative for fast, affordable preconstruction and field workflows.
