Craft and Materials

Material selection is central rather than incidental. The practice is known for work in cast stone, timber and concrete where fabrication method and finish are resolved as design decisions, often in collaboration with artists and craftspeople - as in the collaboration between ceramicist Shozo Michikawa and Trey Trahan in Kyoto.
