Pixelhead Studio is a 3D visualization and animation practice based in Indianapolis, Indiana, working with clients across disciplines and geographies. The studio is built on a single idea: that every design deserves to be seen before it exists.

Founded and led by Stephen Collison, with Sherri Collison as operations lead and a network of collaborators, Pixel-Head Studio LLC works with architects, developers, product designers, artists and brands to translate ideas into high-fidelity imagery.

What Visualization Is For

The studio's range spans two quite different purposes. Rapid exploratory visuals let a design team test a direction while decisions are still open and changes cost little. Precise photorealistic simulation, by contrast, serves marketing, presentation and approval - where the image must convince a planning committee, an investment board or a prospective buyer of something not yet built.

Both matter, and they demand different things. Exploratory work prizes speed and iteration; final production work prizes accuracy of material, light and proportion. Pixelhead offers both, describing its role as bringing the craft and the tools to make an idea real.

Working Across Disciplines

Serving architects, product designers, artists and brands from one studio is less common than it sounds. Architectural rendering and product rendering have different conventions - scale, lighting setup, context and the level of material realism expected all differ - and a studio comfortable in both brings useful transfer between them.
