Overview

Nonica is the developer of NonicaTab, a Revit plugin that consolidates the most popular Revit tools into a single customisable toolbar and connects Autodesk Revit to AI. The company's positioning is direct: one Revit tab, not twelve.

Blanca Serrano and Jaime Alonso developed the first version of NonicaTab at the end of 2020. Since then its features have changed how many Autodesk Revit and Dynamo professionals work. The team has been an Autodesk Authorised Developer since March 2021, and an official Anthropic integration partner since 2025. NonicaTab is trusted by more than 43,000 Revit professionals.

The Dynamo-to-button capability addresses a familiar practical problem: a useful script written by one person tends to stay with that person, because colleagues will not open Dynamo to run it. Turning it into a ribbon button is what makes it a firm asset rather than an individual one.

AI Connector for Revit

The AI Connector is Nonica's most distinctive feature and an official Anthropic integration. In the PRO tier Claude has full access across more than 50 tools and can report on, edit parameters within, and document a model. The free tier provides read-only access across 36 tools, so Claude can analyse and report but not modify.

The read-only free tier is a sensible design choice - it lets teams evaluate AI model interrogation without any risk of unintended changes to live project models.

Nonica sets out a four-step adoption path for teams implementing AI in Revit:

1. Test it - review and fix a Revit model with the Claude Desktop App using the 30-day free trial from the Autodesk App Store
2. Prepare it - write standard prompts and save them as Projects in the Claude Desktop App
3. Share it - implement across a small team of 10 to 15 colleagues, sharing prompts via Claude Teams or Enterprise
4. Deploy it - roll out organisation-wide with an MSI installer, updated remotely as needed

Team

Jaime Alonso, Co-founder and CTO - combined work as an architect with advanced Autodesk Revit API programming before co-founding Nonica. He contributes to several open-source projects and speaks at BIM user groups, educational institutions and events including Autodesk DevCon and TU Delft.

Blanca Serrano, Co-founder and COO - previously worked in project management and team coordination, and is responsible for customer relations alongside administrative, commercial and accounting functions, sharing leadership of product development.
