Civil Engineering

Environmental Engineering and Stormwater

Civix environmental engineers are experts in stormwater management, built on years of research and experience across contaminant management, flood control and sediment control. In New Zealand's regulatory environment, stormwater and sediment control frequently determine whether a subdivision consent proceeds at all, which places this discipline early in the project rather than late.

Planning and Resource Consent

Civix planners take the uncertainty out of the consenting process. The team are experts on the Unitary Plan, District Plans and the Resource Management Act (RMA). Whether a client is beginning due diligence or is ready to proceed with consent applications, Civix can provide a full project team to meet the project objectives.

Licensed Cadastral Surveying

Civix Licensed Cadastral Surveyors take clients through the development process from the initial topographic survey through to construction setout, as-builting, and 223 and 224C applications.

Integrated Delivery

The combination of town planners, chartered engineers and licensed cadastral surveyors under one roof is the practical core of the offer: for private land developments, Civix covers the project from the initial site visit through to council sign-off. Subdivision work in New Zealand routinely stalls at the handoffs between planning, engineering and survey, so consolidating those disciplines removes a common source of delay and cost.

Project Experience

• Taumata o Kupe - a historic project for which Civix planners obtained consent, recognised with an NZIA award for public architecture and subsequently covered internationally.
• Kohe development, Pukekohe - Civix planners, engineers and surveyors have been involved since identifying the potential of the property for a private plan change, working with Aedifice Property Group.
• Murphys Park Drive, Flat Bush, Auckland - approval gained for a subdivision and development of 108 residential terraced houses, part of a wider scheme totalling 267 residential units across apartments and terraced houses, plus 5 commercial retail units.
