Why Coordination Before Construction Matters

The economics here are straightforward. A clash resolved in a model costs an hour of coordination time; the same clash discovered after ductwork is hung costs demolition, rework, schedule delay and often a change order. BIMWERX positions its entire service around moving that discovery point earlier - which is why constructability review sits alongside clash detection rather than being treated as a separate design-stage exercise.

Project Experience

BIMWERX has supported a range of project types across the southeastern United States:

• Kernan Medical Office Building, Jacksonville, FL - a 54,000 square foot, three-storey facility, currently the largest multispecialty freestanding ambulatory surgery center in Jacksonville.
• Federal Reserve Adaptive Reuse, Jacksonville, FL - an 18,500 square foot building constructed in 1923 and designated a National Historic Landmark.
• Ludlam Trail, Miami, FL - Altis Ludlam Trail, a mixed-use development in the Bird Road area comprising 312 apartments averaging 820 square feet.

The mix is instructive: new-build healthcare, historic adaptive reuse, and large residential. Each places very different demands on a coordination model, and adaptive reuse in particular depends on accurate capture of existing conditions rather than idealised design geometry.
