Circle Development approached innDex 8 months ago as they found themselves spending hours each week; copying and pasting, editing spreadsheets, formatting reports and ultimately understood there was a huge opportunity to improve the effectiveness of their companies processes.

SOLUTION:

Circle are a project delivery consultant who carry out duties for their clients such as; project management, quantity surveying, employers agent and Clerk of Works. With Circle’s business and client base growing rapidly, keeping track and maintaining good records is important.

Circle and innDex have been working together expanding on the innDex platform, bringing together Circle’s processes and increasing the company’s efficiency through the automation of repetitive tasks and providing valuable tools to improve other areas of their business. One of the success stories has been the Clerk of Works tool that innDex has developed alongside Circle, fitting in with their exact requirements and saving Circle 5 working hours per project per week.

Automating Clerk of Works

innDex was born out of the frustrations of two friends, both civil engineers. Having experienced a number of fragmented processes, they put their heads together and started mapping out a better vision for the challenges modern construction delivery brings.

Starting with site inductions, an important first step for all workforce starting on a project. This ties into access control: geo fencing through to physical turnstiles! On top of this, innDex can be used for RAMs, Toolbox talks, progress reporting, inspections, asset management and much more!

The Principal Contractor gets full visibility over their project teams and ensures compliance. All on site activities which are traditionally paper based can be completed through the innDex app - this gives real time project monitoring and a paperless site.

Siemens Mobility Limited has been awarded contracts to deliver new signalling infrastructure work within Wales, Devon and Cornwall by Transport for Wales and Network Rail respectively. This will cover the renewal and replacement of all lineside signalling equipment, with the control of the signalling being transferred to integrated control centres that will ensure the safe running of trains, improve infrastructure reliability and boost operational flexibility of the railway.

VolkerFitzpatrick was awarded the contract for upgrading Ilford and Romford Stations in early 2019 as part of Crossrail. The purpose of the work was to enhance the customer experience for commuters. The scope of works included improvements to station entrances and the provision of step-free access.

Volkerfitzparick, Network Rail and Crossrail wanted to reduce costs, streamline the onboarding process for new starters on-site and move towards a fully digital construction site.
