Secude is headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland and is a leading global provider of data protection and digital rights management solutions that serve the AEC industry. Secude’s solutions help extend corporate data governance and data loss prevention (DLP) to CAD and related construction files through the integration with popular systems that work with Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP). This protection remains attached to the protected files wherever they travel and provides a means for file tracking through real-time activity logs and prevents unauthorized access through encryption technology. The access controls provided through protection policies can be defined to grant specific users very granular access to various application functions when working with shared documents. Secude solutions also provide capabilities for applying digital watermarking, metadata implantation and digital signing technology to CAD and related construction documents. Using digital watermarking, metadata implantation and digital signing in combination creates many possibilities for proving non-repudiated document ownership and validating the intended parties that documents are shared with. While this doesn’t completely limit access, it does provide a way to determine accountability should sensitive filed be leaked. Secude solutions provide additional capabilities for automating compliance markings for CAD and other construction related files. This includes specific compliance markings for Export Controlled Information (ECI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for CMMC compliance and can also incorporate dynamic watermarking to include the last user to edit the file with a timestamp. Secude's application suite provides data protection and digital rights management for CAD and other construction related files in several ways: HaloCAD - Apply Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP) sensitivity labels and AES encryption directly to files from within the CAD user interface. This is seamless to the user and allows CAD files to become classified and operate within the Purview Data Governance platform to apply Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies that ensure data can't be stolen. MPIP sensitivity labels also provide rules that can be enforced within the CAD user interface and provide an additional layer of access control defined at the user or group-level by restricting functions such as edit, export and print. The AES encryption that is applied by MPIP also ensures that files are useless to would-be hackers that managed to get them outside of the enterprise. HaloSHARE - A workflow tool that performs batch transformation of CAD, MS Office and PDF files to apply various levels of identification and protection. HaloSHARE digital rights management methods include document compliance marking, metadata implantation and digital document signing that can be performed batch style and deliver the transformed documents to multiple local or Cloud data stores including Autodesk Docs. Document marking can include standard watermarking or specially formatted text to identify Export Controlled Information (ECI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or other special compliance markings. Metadata implantation and digital signing ensure that documents can be traced to the original owners or to the parties they were shared with. HaloSHARE MPIP methods can be used to bulk process files to apply sensitivity labels, encrypt or decrypt files and deliver them to multiple local or Cloud-hosted destination storage locations.
